As a longtime Partner, Edward oversaw the management and operation of the firm. He was instrumental in developing the practice over the last 30 years and was active in consulting with businesses and individuals on matters related to financing, mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, tax and estate planning.

In the field of taxation, Ed was proficient in advising clients on the tax treatment of buy-sell agreements, and the sale of partnership interests and tax-free exchanges. He has extensive expertise in investigative and litigation accounting and established the firm as a national leader in the Claims Administration Services arena.

Ed provided expert testimony on litigation matters throughout the country and was involved in the administration of over 550 class action lawsuits. He was invited to speak many times about procedures related to class action administration to numerous professional and trade organizations, including the National Association of Securities Class Action Trial Lawyers. He testified before the US Senate Banking Sub-Committee on class action securities litigation issues. In the 1980s, he participated in hearings on Qualified Settlement Funds and made recommendations to the US Department of Treasury for the drafting of those regulations.

Ed is currently a Senior Director of Heffler Claims Group, a leading provider of class action services for antitrust, securities, employment, and labor, consumer and government enforcement matters. Heffler Claims Group is a division of global advisor, Duff & Phelps. Together with Prime Clerk, the leading bankruptcy claims and noticing agent and another Duff & Phelps company, Heffler Claims Group offers the most comprehensive administrative services in the industry.

A graduate of Drexel University, Ed holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is licensed to practice accounting in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs and the New Jersey Society of CPAs.

Ed serves on numerous boards and committees for community and charitable organizations, with special emphasis on children and education. In 2011, he received the City of Hope Spirit of Life Award. Ed served on the Executive Advisory Council for the Rutgers University School of Business and also served on both the Audit Committee and the Finance Council for the Archdiocese of Camden. He served as vice president of the board of directors for Variety – The Children’s Charity and has been recognized for his achievements in International Who’s Who.
